Simcoe Muskoka Opioid Strategy

ALERT Oct. 18, 2018: Barrie Police are reporting that a dangerous strain of suspected Heroin and/or Cocaine has surfaced within the community. The substance is believed to have a purple colouring and is suspected to have been consumed in a recent sudden death and overdose.
ALERT Aug. 2, 2018: Highly dangerous “Purple Heroin" is present in Simcoe Muskoka and has been found to contain heroin, morphine, fentanyl and carfentanil. Carfentanil is deadly, even in small amounts.

There are many services across Simcoe Muskoka that provide treatment and support to those living with an opioid addiction. Below you will find a list of those resources. 

 
Services for individuals 16 years of age and up who are struggling with substance use concerns; or for family members seeking personal support around a loved one’s addiction.

Mondays from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.; Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Orillia RAAM Clinic 169 Front Street South (The Common Roof)
Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and Thursdays from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.
